just like in most big cities, parking in vienna also requires some non-common sense and research :-) in most districts with the exceptions of a few outer ones, parking is limited to 90 minutes at the time. it costs EUR 1 per 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at a tobacco store, and need to be marked with the current correct time (not pencil) and put into the car so that the parking officers may see it. we strongly recommend registering with mobile parking, which allows you to create these short term parkng tickets with the click of a button. you will need to have a working major credit card though. please register here: http://www.handyparken.at/handyparken/home.seam. if you need help, dont hesitate tp contact us.
if you are coming to vienna with your car, you may want to take advantage of one of the nearby Park&Ride garages (http://www.wien.info/en/travel-info/to-and-around/park-ride) for just EUR 3 per day and the excellent public transport system of the city. pls let us know if you need help figuring out the nearest garage and best public transport routes. we are glad to help. for more insights on this topic, pls visit the guidelines and information from the vienna tourist board at:http://www.wien.info/en/travel-info/to-and-around/parking
